Do You Really Expect Him To Announce Via A Question?
I'm sure when the time comes, Al Gore isn't going to announce the biggest decision of his life, by answering some reporter's question.

So all these people who interview him, and pose that question, are going to receive the standard stock answer. Do you really think that some unknown reporter is going to get the biggest scoop of the political year, by getting Mr. Gore to say on camera..."Well, yeah, I changed my mind suddenly, and I am going to run."

When he announces, it will be in a formal setting, under his own terms. It won't be in response to a question at a global warming discussion. It won't be on the night a film he contributed to, wins the Oscar. It won't be during a talk concerning his global warming ventures.

Frankly, instead of asking him, we should be TELLING HIM. We want you and need you Mr. Gore. We understand you've stated you have no plans to run, but the U.S. truly needs you. There are no candidates as qualified to lead us out of this mess.

Instead of asking a question which won't get the answer you want, flattery is more appropriate, and will get us farther.

I actually caught myself saying to myself last night:

"I absolutely LOVE Al Gore."

Usually I feel like we are getting the piece of shit that smells better than the rest. But with Gore, I affirmatively like the guy!

God I hope he runs!!!

Edit: Various errors, nothing substantive.

4. I told myself almost twnty years ago, way back in 1988
That I would NEVER vote for the man.
After "An Inconvient Truth"
I have firmly, and vehemently changed my mind.

Run Al. RUN.

5. Why?
In '88, what made you say that you would NEVER vote for him?

And who did you vote for in 2000? Let me guess......Nader? Wonderful.
