Can you pass the test to become an American citizen?
Try it - I'm pretty sure 90% of the people at DU can pass. http://games.toast.net/independence/

2. I had to guess at some of the amendment stuff.
I found it ironic that the highest scores were from Newfoundland and Labrador.

3. This sort of citizen test annoys the heck out of me.
Why would a citizen need to know which president was born in which state? Does that make them a better citizen in any way?

The pilgrim one I answered "correctly" - knowing it was not the real answer. They weren't looking for religious freedom at that point, they already had it in Holland. They were too intolerant of other people's religion to coexist with them. They weren't about religious "freedom" at all. The answer thing when you click on it for clarification acknowledges that, but it still makes me really angry that to be a citizen you are expected to learn the fake history of the US as we like to pretend it happened.

30. Good point
people tend to mix up the Puritans (who wanted to purify the Church of england) and the Separatists (pilgrims) who wanted to separate from it. They were extremely intolerant of each other, and any one else who was not of their religion.

Amazing some of the stuff they ask...on the other hand, somehow I passed my confirmation based on my memorization of things that were likely untrue.

27. Why is it a 'good test'?
Because of what is asked on the naturalization test?

42. The fact that we can peer through the window of the naturalization test
I have to say, some of the questions were pukeworthy propaganda...but why should that surprise? the WH does that every day.

8. 28 of 30.
Didn't know how many amendments ratified but not in the Constitution.

Didn't know which president was born in Texas, of course I did know that criminal fraud, Bushler, was born a Connecticut dandy.
