The Today Show does not out Drudge, after Drudge outs Prince Harry.
Matt Lauer only reports a blogger revealed that Prince Harry was fighting in Afghanistan.

But Drudge was widely reported as the source for the photo of Obama wearing traditional Somalian garb.

Hmmmmmmmm...

As someone agrees with me!

I wonder if it was a set-up with Drudge playing the patsy to release information (as NYT, Al-Jazeera, Murdoch press have done in the past).

Harry had been there for 10 weeks already and the interviews and footage of him was already done. All in all it was a great story for the British Royals and the war effort in Afghanistan.

Harry in Afghanistan. I was going to post that shortly, along with a :tinfoilhat:, and that Drudge was doing his job of being a tool, in outing Harry as PR.

5. Why give Smudge any publicity at all.
I say don't even mention the rumor mongers name. The greatest insult is to ignore someone. :dem:

6. In this case, I think it was more protecting Drudge, than not giving him credence.
As I said in my OP, they did give him full credit of that photo of Obama.

7. Maybe they're embarrassed by where they get their news?
I'd be embarrassed if it became obvious that what little news I reported came from a source like that.
