Has anyone heard of protests against marines in California?
I've heard people talk about something like this twice but I have no clue what they are talking about.

2. I know Berkeley was trying to get the Marines out.
I'm not sure if it was just recruiters or any personnel.

3. old story from earlier in the month about protests of marine recruiting office.

The right-wingers were all up in arms.

The city council initially passed a resolution saying the child-hunters were unwelcome. they backed down in the face of a lot of flack from the hacks onm the right.

4. Berkeley wanted to boot out the Marine recruiting office...
They abandoned the idea after a bunch of negative Bay Area press

5. Code Pink in their ridiculous costumes are on constant prtoest
there to bring attention to fact that someone wants the marines
out.

This is not the best image. Even though most Code Pinks are
Green Party, the Democratic Party gets the credit for "hating
the Military.

8. They were most likely referring to the scuffle at Berkeley, where
there was an effort to ban Marines from recruitment practices. I believe they wanted to open, or did open, a recruitment office. Initially there was an effort to stop them, but I think in the end they were permitted to remain there.
