Do You Think Being President is the Most Important Thing a Person Can Do In Life
Arguing for and against Gore running makes me wonder. Is this for your sake or his? Is it your happiness or his you are thinking of?
and then the thought of what is important. He missed on being president but, is up for a Nobel Peace Prize.
do you think there might be something that is more important or bigger waiting for him?
Or do you think it is being President that is the most important thing a person can do?

9. Are you suggesting that any Dem Prez would not implement Gore's global warming action?
Or that Gore has not impacted globbal warming policy around the world already?

Do you think there would be an incandescent light bulb ban coming up in Austrailia if not for Gore?

Look at the school children watching his movie in the UK. A generation of global caretakers.

Gore has done the ultimate any man can do...he has inspired the world to act. Being President would be small potatoes to what he's done and will continue to do.

10. I almost think he will have a greater impact on global warming by not running again.

If he's President, global warming will hardly be his only concern. And, as President he'll have to get Congress to work with him.

Independently, he can focus only on it. And, he can get us individually to make changes, with or without Congress dictating it.

2. I think it is about what would be best for the Country.
I have no doubt that the best thing for anyone's family is to NOT run for President.

5. I guess I just feel many are loosing sight of the man and what he wants
I've said many times I wish he would have run but, I respect his decsion not to. I feel he should do what is best for him. If he does get it I would be thrilled but, I do think he should do what he wants.

7. For some.
For others the most important thing they can do is something else. Being a parent, picking up trash, founding an orphanage...

We'll have to see with Gore, but the fact that he's spent so much time in public service, and has come so close to the White House, means he has a knowledge of the job that few others do. And the job would give him greater tools with which to do the job he is trying to do. So it's natural for people to want to see him take that step.

And he did run for the office. Twice. So he clearly has wanted it in the past. It's not hard to imagine he still has that desire, somewhere in him.

8. Well, it sure is an awful lot of power.
There's probably no better position one can be in if they want to make dramatic changes to the world.

11. For some it is,for some it isn 't
FDR was a great President. I think he found his calling in life. Jimmy Carter was an underrated President, but even so, not a great one. Much greater as a former President. Kennedy, I'm still out on. He's looking better. Nixon was born to be President. That doesn't mean he was a good one. It's all in the person and the time. Unless everything in in alignment being a President can be a huge waste of talent.

12. Personal happiness is not the issue.
We need him. Our country is in trouble, and we need a stable, intelligent, articulate diplomat and statesman to lead us from disaster. He's the man. Any patriot would make that sacrifice. And besides, he ran once before, so what's the big deal now?

13. What I think is the most important job in the word is
being a research scientest and finding cures for disease that disable and kill and maim people. I get so upset when I see the salaries they pay sport stars and the celebreries. And I think of all that money that could go to the people doing research. That's just my opinion.
