Rice 'Falsely Testified' Today on Pre-War WMD Intel, Says Wexler
Video Shows Heated Exchange Between Congressman and Secretary of State During This Morning's Hearing on Iraq in the U.S. House…

(Washington, DC) Today, in reponse to questioning by Congressman Robert Wexler (D-FL) , Chairman of the Subcommittee on Europe and a senior member of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice falsely claimed she never saw intelligence casting doubt on Administration claims that Saddam Hussein possessed weapons of destruction. Numerous sources including the 2006 Senate Intelligence Report, a January 2004 Carnegie Endowment for International Peace report, as well as former CIA agents including Tyler Drumheller have pointed out that there was contrary intelligence to the information provided to the Bush Administration in the lead up to the Iraq war.

Congressman Wexler further questioned Secretary Rice on the over 900 false statements made by White House officials leading up to the war as recently reported by the Center for Public Integrity.

So....what are the consequences of Rice doing this? So far, the BushCo Repukes have lied to and shit all over Congressional investigations and NOTHING has happened.

<sigh>

2. The time to have called her on all that was in 2002-2003.
They were all too stupid to do it then. This is all just posturing now, they got away with it & there is nothing they can do now.

3. Yep....
....way past the time to dig into all of this. I say it is time instead to start looking at criminal charges.

7. A tough criminal conspiracy investigation would be the only way to resolve this thing.
Congressional hearings lead to nothing.

8. I totally agree....
...maybe all of this "getting it out in the open" allows some to say, "I told you so...", but that is about it IMO.

Look at all the dead soldiers and Iraqis....do they count for NOTHING but some Congressional investigation where Condi blows hot air up everyone's butt???

6. As good a place as any to start the impeachment proceedings.
The bottom line, Democrats need to make this a campaign issue and promise the American people that the liars and crooks will be held accountable after the election. Run on it. Make McCain run on promising to protect the interests of the Bush-Cheney Crime administration.
