I was reduced to watching a Denman Forestry Lecture & Wold Music..

This is ONE time I wish there were NOT cameras in the courtroom..

These are the same channels that never find time to show live Congressional hearings. Fuck all of them.

at least it's not caucus/primary coverage . . . Clinton-Huckabee-McCain-Obama (alphabetical order, people, alphabetical order only) . . . political pundits . . . polls every hour on the hour . . . interspersed with the occasional news tidbit (but only for a second, don't want to detract from the politics).

who or what makes these decisions about these things? They're constantly throwing the whole country into a tizzy over issues that by all rights 99.9% of the country shouldn't give a flying fig about. I've never even heard of this guy, and it's unclear to me why I should care.

I've never understood in America why the news stations suddenly glom on to a story and treat it like it's the most vital thing in our lives, with blanket coverage everywhere. I think each network is doing it because the other one is doing it.
