Bush Spends 7+ Years Shredding Constitution - Congress Investigates Baseball
And NOW Specter wants to have hearings on "Spying in the NFL"

I'm not making this shit up.

We are being spied upon by our own government, and our elected officials are going to dig deep into whether there is illegal spying..in football.

Washington Post Staff Writer
Tuesday, February 5, 2008; Page E06

PHOENIX, Feb. 4 -- League officials were working Monday with staff members for Sen. Arlen Specter (R-Pa.) to schedule a meeting between Specter and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell for late this week or early next week.

<snip>
Specter said in recent days that he wanted to meet with Goodell to discuss the league's handling of the spying scandal involving the New England Patriots. Specter was critical of the league's investigation and of Goodell's decision to have six videotapes handed over by the Patriots destroyed.

2. What is their fucking problem?
Just look out the window. Go to the grocery store and see how many people are paying for food on credit. Go to the unemployment office and see the crowds.

They shouldn't be allowed to investigate or hold hearings on ANYTHING without our permission.

Like Gravel said, we have to give the power back to the people and take it away from the Congress.

It's beyond bizarre -- it's surreal.

4. It's a Diversion from more Important Matters of Course
Most people on ESPN's web forum think the same thing. These idiots living in that DC bubble really need to get out more often. People are not buying the BS the way they used to.

Actually I take it back..... keep acting oblivious Senator.... you are doing a fine job!

5. Oh, you are nothing but a GOP mole sent here to turn us against Reid and Nancy Disaster.
Remember, "we don't have the votes" to investigate the dismantling of the Republic or ongoing war crimes -- only baseball.

:sarcasm:

:woohoo:

8. Isn't that a pisser.
I don't care what grown adults are stupid enough to do to themselves. I want to make sure the kids stay off juice-but when you are an adult-you make decisions. Hello-it's called free will.
