Let's not forget that there are more primaries than Presidential ones
Whoever our candidate is, they will need EVERY seat in Congress we can win for them in order to garner the support for implementing the needed changes in Washington and beyond.

So take a moment to check out the primaries for Congress and the Senate. Where there are two Dems running, support the one you feel will be best at working for change in policy. The one who has a progressive agenda rather than a corporate one. Consider helping Dems in other districts as well.

If you know of good progressive Dems who need our help, list their names and websites.

I'm starting with Dennis Kucinich, who has some challengers in his primary in March. His website for donations is http://www.kucinich.us

Consider donating time or money to make sure we not only have a strong Democrat in the White House, but large majorities in both houses of Congress.

1. i`ve got two
special election for hastret empty seat in the illinois 14th. oppps -first a vote on the 5th then the special election. then we get to do this again in november....

guess what--the guy who will probably get elected is a rabid right wing nut ball who in the last election ran commercials that had him in a helicopter tracking down the illegal aliens..we here in the 14th refer him to either the copter man or the milkman--he owns a dairy..

2. What Dem is running against the nut ball?
I hope they run somebody. Might want to get the nut ball's take on the economy. If he's like the rest of the gop head in the sand folks, he won't have anything. And our candidate can have an issue to run on!

3. it really doesn't matter who the opponent is...
this district is SOLIDLY repuke- that's one of the reasons that hastert got the speaker's job...there was almost NO WAY that he would have lost his seat in an election.
and there's virtually NO WAY for a dem to win the seat.

4. Then you have my sympathy
I live in the part of Arkansas that is so red that even Bill Clinton couldn't win the Congressional seat. That's one reason I'm supporting Kucinich--he has a great chance of winning, and we need him in the House.
