What logic is Bush* using to explain giving average Americans $800?
Is he suggesting that if you give to lower class it will help the economy? I thought that was completely counter to Supply Side Economics. He should be demanding we give Exxon millions instead. Let those millions trickle down to us peons. Is he somehow suggesting that if he gives the peons money it will trickle up? I am sooo confused...Everyone knows Demand Side economics can not work...At least that is what Republicans have been saying for decades now...It was only a fluke and some left over results of Reagan that when Clinton applied Demand Side Economics in the nineties America experienced the greatest economic expansion in history..Why o why is Bush* sending us such mixed signals????

It "worked" in 2000. He's a one trick pony, unfortunately his only trick is crapping on the rug.

7. What it boils down to
is do we want an imperfect temporary solution allowing longer term solutions to be put in place or stay on the road to a worldwide financial meltdown resulting in vast dislocations, our pensions (what there is) wiped out, riots etc. The US population is heavily armed. And no matter who blames who for what, once the shooting starts it will get very bad.

10. Except Congress will want to up the ante
Democrats will jump on this with glee. Why stop at $800? Let's give each tax payer $2000. and watch Bush* veto a bill that would send money to Americans...

14. There were stimulus proposals BEFORE Bush's
He is the one who is pretending to up the ante. Obama's proposal rebates FICA and adds to SS and unemployment, so that everybody gets help. Bush's is only for those who earned enough to pay taxes in the first place, so only the upper income people will get any help.

13. You have to pay taxes to get them back
This is NOT money for the lower class. This is money to the upper 25%, just like the last tax credits were.
