What is the primary goal of the health care system in the US?
to make the maximum possible profits for the corporations that own it?

OR

to deliver health care to the population?

OR

to keep the population insecure and therefore easier to control?

1. It should be to deliver health care to the people
after all, we have the inalienable right of LIFE.

8. It's the money for
the healthcare industry first and to keep the population insecure for other industries even though they would benefit from a single payer system. It makes things easier for them to treat workers like a commodity if they know that the meager healthcare plan will keep a worker accepting all kinds of rules if they fear losing their job.

10. Corporate profits.
Keeping the population insecure is just a side benefit.

11. There is no primary goal because we don't have a health care system,
just a jumble of providers and insurance companies, not to mention the educators. Right now we are educating too many specialists because general practitioners can't make enough money to pay off their student loans. Meanwhile, there aren't enough nursing schools and we're importing nurses from the Philippines.
