4. The bulk of those tax cuts are NOT going to the middle, and lower classes
which make it even more of a joke

That had to be one of the most uninspiring speeches

5. Right the almost trillion dollar debt from the Iraq War has nothing to do with it.
Nor does our $200 billion annual deficits (with the Iraq War debt not included in these deficits).

8. The war is being conducted "off" the books...it is NOT calculated into the "economy"...
...just wait 'til a future President has to deal with THAT little problem...

17. It's Still Calculated Into The GDP
It's just not showing up as budgets. But, it still shows up as GS, it still results in corrected deficit numbers, and is still accumulated into the national debt.

That's why it's not really "off the books". The spending can still be traced through the system. But, from a PR standpoint, they don't have to include in the budgeted deficit. They wait until after the fiscal year to correct the deficit.

Then, they can tout $350 billion in deficit spending, per the budget, and when everyone is now looking at the next budget, the number gets adjusted to $460 billion. Convenient, huh?

13. The only way business should be given a tax break is if they hire within the country
not offshore to cheap labor

12. Will there be
anyone from the opposition that will have the balls to stand up and "call bullshit" on his economic plan? NO, probably NOT, and now that the speech is over lets get back to trying to make ends meet.

15. Just the opposite is happening. Pelosi is very open. That in itself is OK
because there are no specifics, but if the past is any indication of the way things will go, Congress will cave in on the issues where the middle and lower class get minimum benefit

When will people learn that "trickle down economics" doesn't work

Bring the jobs back, by giving business a tax break if they hire U.S. citizens here
