Bomb threat closes World Bank buildings in Washington, DC
No joke. I got a call last night from my department's call list letting me know not to come into work this morning. Than this morning I got an automated call from the Bank's emergency notification system. Apparently WBG officials got a bomb threat, so in the interests of caution and safety, they are clearing each of the buildings. We even made the local news, which showed some bomb-sniffing dogs being walked around the main complex building. So, it's a 'work at home day' which for me means checking my e-mail periodically and baking cookies. Hey - that's work - especially when you have 5 dogs who would love to help you do quality control on the batter and a 5 year old, already cranky from a cold, who wants to help.
