Joementum's blackmail "change party"- RW source

Politico: Lieberman Says War Vote Could Prompt Party Switch

By Greg Tinti on February 22, 2007 at 04:02 PM

Is this thinly veiled threat Lieberman putting the Dems on notice that they'll lose control of the Senate if they pursue Murtha's slow bleed plan?

Let's hope so.

"I have no desire to change parties," Lieberman said in a telephone interview. "If that ever happens, it is because I feel the majority of Democrats have gone in a direction that I don't feel comfortable with."

Asked whether that hasn't already happened with Iraq, Lieberman said: "We will see how that plays out in the coming months," specifically how the party approaches the issue of continued funding for the war.

He suggested, however, that the forthcoming showdown over new funding could be a deciding factor that would lure him to the Republican Party.

"I hope we don't get to that point," Lieberman said. "That's about all I will say on it today. That would hurt."

1. Joe Lieberman is a pox on America.
As a CT resident who actively worked to oust the asshole, I am disgusted. Joe, you are the lowest of the low, you self-centered asswipe.

Sorry. I was actually holding back.

2. He doesn't "feel comfortable" with the Democrat's direction?
Ok then, I have to assume he does fell comfortable with never ending wars and much more death. Just lovely.

Joe, just leave the party now, you aren't a Democrat and I have doubts you are even human. Go straight to hell.

6. I wonder if it would be worth it in the long run? Hopefully in '08 we can gain two or three
real Democratic seats and then we wouldn't have to put up with his shit any longer.

don't use this as an excuse to go along with a sinister policy.

The Democrats loyalty should be to the soldiers in harms way. If that means they lose control of the Senate...so be it.

Let Lieberman make an ass out of himself as he plays politics with lives at stake.

12. Is he one of those who attributes "slow-bleed" to the Democrats?
I hate the phrase, but I suppose an angry reaction to it is exactly what is desired.
