Poll question: Which of the Top 3 Dems Would Be Most Gaffe-Prone in the General Election?
Gaffes matter in American politics. Having a disciplined candidate who - even when fatigued - won't give in to baser instincts and say something stupid on camera, or into an open microphone, should be DNC 101.

Which of the top 3 candidates do you think would be most prone to dropping a jaw-dropping gaffe into the stream of American Political History?

The candidates are listed in alphabetical order. Thanks for registering your opinion.

1. I guess Clinton, maybe, but that's only because I've heard one (1) gaffe from her of late
The business about people "literally freezing to death outside" the Iowa caucuses. And that wasn't any big deal.

Honestly, I think all three are pretty professional and nowhere near as prone to gaffes as most of the GOP opposition.

5. Ha! You're all wrong. Haven't you guys learned yet? The MSM makes sure the Dem always has plenty.
Remember all the hoopla about one Gore 'gaffe' after another. Almost all made up spin that took on a life of its own (as intended).

Face reality. No matter who we nominate, they will all be faced with the same hostile media while the republicans are treated with kidd gloves.

13. Excellent Point
Besides, the media also passes by *real* "gaffes" to focus on completely irrelevant BS.

Sighing during a debate is NOT a "gaffe"! By contrast, a candidate who openly confuses Shia and Sunni repeatedly during a debate or press conference IS a gaffe. But in the eyes of the MSM, this type of relevant stuff (sometimes it's just an honest mistake but so what, how many times are people crucified for honest mistakes?) is B-O-R-I-N-G.

Will it be noticed this time by a majority and will it finally wake them up enough not too fall for it this election cycle?

9. Obama I would guess, but these are all pretty solid politicians
I'd be surprised they'd make many gaffes as such. Of course all three of them are vulnerable to the Republicans spinning their statements ("We need a more sensitive war on terror" for example).

15. Any Democratic candidate will be gaffe afflicted.
Try to pay attention. Only our candidates have 'gaffes'. Their candidates can, for example, call folks assholes on air and nothing much happens. Why is that, do you think?

Do you think that perhaps we have a Bullshit Media System that generates a False Noise 24 hours a day, that has an agenda to defeat the Democratic candidate in the race, to destroy the credibility of all Democratic candidates in the primaries, and to ignore the obvious flaws of the pathetic nutbag loser assholes running on the Republican side?

Do you think? Does anyone?

23. You cling to that slim thread. Hold on tight.
If you really think that SNL, even if it manages to take any sort of stand, mitigates the endless drone of the False Noise machine, you are sadly mistaken.

Making Gerald Ford into a lovable buffoon was not really helpful, but is was funny.

26. do you have any idea what the audience size of those shows are?
Compared to, for example, The Today Show? When was the last time you walked into an airport and saw The Daily Show instead of Fox News or CNN? Ever? We have built the most efficient and effective propaganda machine in the history of human civilization. It works very very well.
