John McCain: “All They Want to Trade is Burkas”
http://www.scholarpreneur.com/2008/01/11/john-mccain-all-they-want-to-trade-is-burkas/

I can’t decide whether these guys, McCain and Thompson, are bigoted war mongers, or just careless jokers.

McCain’s joke simply comes off as racist, but Thompson’s comment struck me as depressingly funny. The kind funny we experience when we laugh at someone like Chris Crocker, and then realize five seconds later, “Wow, a lot of people actually agree with this guy too…” And then you realize that many times humor is just a crutch that lets us avoid facing real truths.

Ignorance of other cultures in our world is considered to hip to a large contingent of our country.

It’s cool! They are all terrorists anyway right? What the hell is a burka? I thought it was a towel. Ha! No seriously though, let’s go to war with Iran so we will have another 1 trillion dollars of debt to pay off in 20 years! Blowback? Sounds like blow job! What’s the president of Iran’s name? Ahkmed-in-a-jar? Ha! See what I did there? I made fun of his name because I don’t know how to pronounce it.

Yep. Laugh it up. It’s all just a big joke.

1. You know, this was only one of the MANY disgustingly ignorant phrases and statements
made last night in that debate. I've heard only a tiny mention of this one incident that you've posted about today. Nothing about the rest of it. Like "the surge is working", without mentioning 9 dead in the past 3 days. Or bringing our men and women home, without mentioning how many would come home in coffins that we can't see.

If the media were worth one grain of salt, they'd dissect this "debate" and all the hypocritical, insensitive and ludicrous comments made and display them for all of America to see.

2. Mr. McCain is disturbingly beginning to sound more and more Hitleresque.
Same song, different lyrics.
