What are the big Republican Message Boards?

What are some of the Repug boards that are as popular with the conservatives?

I'd like to lurk around and see what some of them are saying about our top 3 - who they'd rather see win, etc... and also - who they want to win from their own party.

I tried Googling "Conservative Message Boards" but nothing near as popular or well run as DU comes up. Either i'm missing it.. or they don't have one. Just curious.

Surprisingly the tech-savvy among the Freepers were light-years ahead of us for about a decade in terms of online organizing, but they didn't make the leap to the newer technologies until recently.

On Usenet, good examples are:
talk.politics (umbrella, but heavy conservative influence)
alt.politics.republicans
alt.rush-limbaugh

These were early and powerful examples of political virtual online communities, and they did some incredibly impressive organization work. Go and learn, but shower up after.

While people are struggling out there for health care and college loans, the wingers view anything to the left of Atilla the Hun as socialist or even worse, communist. That's all they got. 44. Wow. I just spent the last half hour or so looking at the site Skinner mentioned. First time in a

year or more.

I didn't want to read their swill about the Democratic candidates. I was sincerely curious what they thought about the Republican candidates.

They all pretty much HATE McCain and Giuliani and Huckabee. They consider McCain and Huck liberals, and even they realize that NO ONE likes Rudy at all. I saw one or two half hearted Romney supporters (there certainly isn't any real support for Romney there either), and several people who are fiercely devoted to the Grouper/Creature From the Black Lagoon.

Their consternation over McCain being the front runner seems about comparable to the frustration of many Democrats over HRC being front runner.

The Grouper supporters seem to actually believe that he can successfully contend for the nomination.

I didn't see any mention of Ron Paul at all, but I have yet to find a thread specifically about the debates.

They really seem intent on becoming completely irrelevant. I suppose they will fall into line if McCain wins the nomination, but it's a bit hard to imagine considering the extreme animosity towards him.

I pretty much got the same idea.. after looking at all of the sites this afternoon - they are SCREWED. We think we have big fights between Obama, Clinton & Edwards. We have nothing on them.. they pretty much don't like any of their candidates, and will swallow voting for one or two.. but if anyone else gets the Nom, they're not voting.

I think you SHOULD run.. at least when they call you a liberal in disguise they won't be wrong. :)
