Did the M$M wag the dog on Hillary's narrow victory in NH?
Congrats to Hil supporters. 48 states to go.

Sorry for my cynicism here, but I find something really goofy about the M$M setting up expectations that Obama had a double digit lead going into NH, then spending a huge percentage of political air time yesterday talking about Clinton's "emotional moment".

Then tonight, tout her narrow lead in NH as some kind of amazing comeback!???

I can't escape the triangulation that exists between Hillary, corporations, and the media. How easy was it to set up unrealistically high expectations for Obama and emphasize that in the M$M reporting? The real scenario could have been (and maybe was) that Obama has been close all along in NH, and ONLY lost in NH by 2-3%!!! What a surprise when just a month ago people were talking a Hillary blow out in NH! Look how Obama is surprising all the pundits by coming in so close!

These exact same results could be been spun very, very differently.

1. Big picture...
2% is a virtual tie. NH does not represent the rest of the nation. If preception can be held positive, then Obama can use this even as a catapult. Remember weeks ago, NH was a LOCK for HILLARY not Obama. This is an accomplishment not a loss.

Disproportionate amount of free air time.

I'm amazed at how they are choosing to label her narrow win tonight as a HUGE comeback.

In reality, the race was far closer then any of the pundits had been blabbering about for the past 9-10 months. Where's that story?

Sour grapes, a little. Tin hat - nope. I really do believe the corporate M$M spins the message to pay the bills.

The GOOD NEWS - a hell of a lot more folks voted DEM in NH then rethug - thats great news how ever one spins it! :hi:

4. The big story isn't the margin; its that she was expected to lose by a solid margin
Dog bites man: no story

Man bites dog: story

His win was not as big of a story, despite the fact that only a few weeks ago his campaign was considered DOA.

5. no- what they did was marginalize edwards
there is very little difference between obama and edwards but someone has to go for the msm to have a neatly packaged race of the nomination. they decided the money shot is obama v clinton ...it`s all about selling soap to the networks.
