Big Brother, Are Credit Card Companies like AT&T?
Has anyone had the opportunity to ask if the Credit Card companies have been feeding information to the government the same way the phone companies have?

There is another thread currently talking about how the internet has revealed a lot of what's in our heads to the Data Collectors. On-line purchasing is just a part of that.

Do the Credit Card issuers, share their business information with the government?

Enquiring minds want to know.

1. Oh I'm sure if someone wants it done as part of a set up to frame dissidents...
It would be rather simple in the current police state climate to ensure whatever the powers that be want done with little or no oversight ... and if anyone finds out...? Big deal. The average poster at this forum can likely cite a half a dozen or so highly serious ongoing criminal conspiracies that are reported on at the margins of alternative media, yet justice and accountability will never be attained. So if someone higher up in the "Intel" corporate police state wishes to lean on someone over their views or actions, they could easily send that message down through that person's local
militarized police force, banking institution, phone company, whoever, right, and cook up some bogus charge of "aiding terrorists." ...which is ironic given dissidents oppose the U.S. govt and aren't very likely to lend "aid."
