My list to the Santa of Sanity....
1. All Americans to engage their brain and think, read, process, evaluate, and make up their minds - NOT based on handlers, pundits, advertisements, campaign literature, lobbyists.....so that the TRUTH can emerge and our society, our world can be based upon reason.
2. All Americans to turn off their television....and if they don't want to do that (far be it for me to tell people what to do in their spare time!), at least sit with the mute button, the TIVO, whatever - and ignore/don't watch/don't listen to advertisements of any type. That we all realize that there is no reason at all to believe anything that they tell us...that it is all about money and them saying whatever it takes to get us to buy their stuff.
3. That the most qualified person, who will do the best for our country, will win the nomination, then the general election (and, yes, that would mean that he/she would be a Democrat!).
I could go on and on and wish for things like a spine for Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi (no, they don't have to share one - they would each get their own), cancellation of Hannity, Limbaugh, O'Reilly and all other right wing noise machine lying liars....impeachment or incrimination and prison for they who will not be named....etc.
But, I just want to keep it short and simple...and focus it on the empowerment of the US Citizens - the intellectual empowerment - of thinking things through.
That's not asking too much now, is it?!?!!
