1. WAR PIGS
Generals gathered in their masses
Just like witches at black masses
Evil minds that plot destruction
Sorcerers of deaths construction
In the fields the bodies burning
As the war machine keeps turning
Death and hatred to mankind
Poisoning their brainwashed minds, oh lord yeah!

Politicians hide themselves away
They only started the war
Why should they go out to fight?
They leave that role to the poor

Time will tell on their power minds
Making war just for fun
Treating people just like pawns in chess
Wait till their judgement day comes

Now in darkness world stops turning
Ashes where the bodies burning
No more war pigs have their power
Hand of God has sturck the hour
Day of judgement, God is calling
On their knees, the war pigs crawling
Begging mercy for their sins
Satan, laughing, spreads his wings
Oh lord yeah!

~ Black Sabbath, War Pigs

7. Sadly that phrase resonates in America.
Quite a number of people I know don't realize that without the Constitution there is no nation to secure.

8. Did me mean that as a diss? It would be a compliment to me
I am a notary, and I had to swear an oath to uphold & defend the constitution as part of the swearing in. I thought that was a bit excessive, what does a notary have to do with defending the constitution? At least it is something I agree with.

Does anybody have the oath of office that the Senators swear to when they are sworn in?

19. Senators' oath of office
I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.

Yeah, it looks like their MOST important duty is to support and defend the Constitution.

27. That's the old oath. Here's the neo-improved one.
I do solemnly swear on the voices in my head, that I affirm come from god, that I will support and defend the President of the United States against all enemies, especially domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this loyalty oath without any mental reservation or purpose of public service; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the obligation to loot the office I am about to enter: So help me Jaysus!

9. Again - we see - republicans just don't understand the
Constitution. If we defend the Constitution, we defend the security of this nation. We defend the Constitution, and WE ARE defending Security. Just something republicans will never understand.

national security. They can't wait to tear up the constitution.

And yes, they swear to uphold and defend the Constitution against enemies, both foreign and domestic. Sounds like Sessions is a domestic enemy of the Constitution.

edited because I can't tell the difference between Sessions and Hatch. I guess the only difference is that one has a southern accent, the words that come out of their mouths are the same.

18. Send Mr. Sessions an e-mail
http://sessions.senate.gov/email/contact.cfm

BE POLITE! If you disagree with his incredibly wrong-headed assertion, drop him a line and ask him to elucidate further. Perhaps you could offer a couple of insights about how the strength and security of our nation resides in the enumerated civil liberties of our Constitution.

You'll know you're ready to hit "send" when you read it over and say to yourself, "Well, that's a lot nicer than this pig-fucker deserves for his insane rantings, which inspired me to think of waterboards and Tasers, but I got my point across without using the word 'asshole' too much."

26. I just sent him off an email
Dear Mr. Sessions,
I was shocked to hear you say during the FISA discussion that “The civil libertarians among us would rather defend the constitution than protect our nation’s security.”

Perhaps you have forgotten your oath of office, so I wanted to write to you in case it has slipped your mind.

Senator's Oath of Office

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.

I seems to me that your oath is to support and defend the Constitution of the United States. It does not say anything about National Security. And you even say "So help me God" at the end.

Have you forgotten your oath or have you decided that the oath that you swore to God to isn't important anymore? I would really like to know, as I'm sure the voters in your state would.

I am not from Alabama, think I'll get an answer? I won't hold my breath. Guess I'll be on the do not fly list soon.
