The Bush Legacy: Waging War for Political GainFor years, Bush and Cheney and Rove have governed using feartalking up war and terrorism to win elections and push their agenda. Now the President's at it againtrying to rally support by marching the nation toward war with Iran. Someone's got to call him out. We want to run this full-page ad in the New York Times. 10. The pressure to stop this being published is going to be enormous.
I wonder if the Times is willing to intentionally piss off the RNC and the rabid wingers again. The controversy last time around was worth more to MoveOn than the ad space so maybe the faux outrage groups will be smart enough to ignore it. Yeah, right. Smart wingers. Bwahahahahahaha!!!!

22. I don't think they will run it. Ever.
No matter how much pressure they get, the ad will not see the light of day.

Yes, the publicity will be worth something. But it may result in another censure vote for MoveOn.

I was surprised by how little attention the first censure vote received, even among people who should have known about it. I spoke to some of my fellow Democrats who knew nothing about the censure.

That should not stop MoveOn. But it was the first thing I thought of when I saw my e-mail from them this morning.

28. What did censuring really do to MoveOn?
I guess I don't understand what censure really does, especially when it's for an organization outside of gov't.

Don't mean to be ignorant, but I really don't know.

I hope they find someone to run this. I doubt it will be the Times.

29. The censure gave them some publicity.
It made the few who noticed even more pissed off that Congress would waste its time on something like this.

The President has been lying for a long time to the American people and it's allies and he manages to continue??????????????????????????...............

where you can take advantage of an entire country, violate it's Constitution, hide behind the X-Tian faith, say it's all in the name of a God, kill off alot of citizens then smile about it and get away with it. I LOVE AMERICA !!!

19. waging war for political and personal gain
the bushes are so intimately tied with the arms/weaponry industry - why is it that this fact is so rarely mentioned? Moveon should include this information in any further ads against this administration - maybe that will light a fire under the collective *@%#$ american ass...

The cartoon bubbles show Bush making reasonable statements and using a modicum of logic. Wouldn't happen.
