Are gas prices in your area going down? Iran NIE connection?
I don't know what is going on in other people's neck of the woods but gas prices here in Indianapolis, Indiana have SUNK over the past few days this week from a peak $3.15/gallon down to as low as $2.76/gallon seemingly coinciding with the release of the Iran NIE that indicated a previous (2003) cessation of nuclear weapon development (less likelihood of military action and oil shortages from Iran?). Maybe it is just a coincidence but the sudden and relatively precipitous decline in gas prices seemed to coincide with the release of the Iran NIE report. What does everybody else think? Are gas prices in your area "better"?

1. Oh yeah, but not as good as they are for you
Here in Harrison AR it is around $2.94, down from $3.09. What gets me is that this county borders MO, and so the gas stations get a tax break so they can be competitive with the stations at the line. However, the gas prices here are higher than other places in Arkansas!

4. There's no doubt
we've been paying a premium the past half decade for Republican crisis mongering. How much, I guess we'll never know, but without Bush and his sycophantic toadies in Congress, oil would be markedly cheaper.

5. They often go down in December where I live.
I figure it has something to do with encouraging us to go out and spend more.
