Smacking down right wingers is so much fun!
Dumb right winger on another discussion board was arguing that Hollywood stars who are left wingers damage their careers:

Folks like Danny Glover, Susan Sarandon, Sean Penn, Alec Baldwin, George Clooney, Richard Gere, Jane Fonda, Whoopi Goldberg, Woody Harrelson, Ed Harris, Tim Robbins, Martin Sheen, Barbara Streisand, Robin Williams.........

Oh, that's right, the careers of these actors have pretty much come to a complete stop since they decided to become political activists

And my response:

Danny Glover - 6 movies in the last year and several TV shows.
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000418/

Susan Sarandon - 6 films released in 2007 (In the Valley of Elah, being mentioned as an Oscar contender), 2 post production now due to be released in 2008, 2 more filming now. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000215/

Sean Penn - one film in 2007 and 2 due to be released in 2008, one in 2009. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000576/

Alec Baldwin - 2 films in production now, 2 more due to be released in 2008, a role on an Emmy award winning TV show. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000285/

George Clooney - 2 films released in 2007 (Michael Clayton and Oceans Thirteen), 3 films to be released in 2008 and one in 2009. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000123/ He just won a best actor award for Michael Collins. George also has a documentary coming out about Darfur, to be shown on HBO this month.

Richard Gere - 3 films in 2007, 2 due for 2008 and one for 2009. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000152/

Jane Fonda - one film in 2005 and one in 2007. Jane will be 70 at the end of December, which may explain why she has made fewer films this year. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000404/

Whoopi Goldberg - 2 films in 2007 and now starring as a host on The View. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000155/

Woody Harrelson - 4 films in 2007, 7 due to be released or begin filming in 2008. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000437/

Ed Harris - 4 films in 2007, one filming due to be released in 2008. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000438/

Tim Robbins - 2 films in 2007, 2 due out in 2008.
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000209/

Martin Sheen - 2 films in 2007. The Departed (Oscar winner) in 2006. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000640/

Barbra Streisand - producer of several TV shows and films. Went on tour last summer. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000659/

Robin Williams - 2 films in 2007, 2 due to be released in 2008. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000245/

Now maybe we have a different idea of acting careers coming to a complete stop. Or maybe you are just talking out of your arse because the only one on your list who is no longer acting is Barbra Streisand, but she is a very successful producer and still goes on tour as a singer.

9. Feh
Miller can't even keep a late night talkshow going. Which typically requires the least talented, most homogenous writing imaginable. He is no longer entertaining and really not terribly funny.

11. The most boring show..
he is afraid of confrontation, the only response he has to a caller who disagrees with him is: "I am afraid of people from the middle east so lets bomb them all. He doesn't talk about anything seriously because he doesn't know what he is talking about.

6. What a moron
RW's generate nothing but complete dogshit.

alec baldwin was in "The Departed," quite possibly one of the best movies of the decade so far. so was Martin Sheen for that matter. yeah, REAL career failure there

Clooney is pretty much the millenium man. and Ocean's Thirteen was pretty damn funny

Sean Penn released "Into The Wild" which was quite possibly one of the coolest movies this year.

and should we even get into how awesome Ed Harris is?

meanwhile, lets take a look at entertainers who support bush. 50 Cent said he liked bush, and ended up getting smacked down by Kanye West. Dennis Miller pretty much guarantees any appearance he makes on a show and its going to get cancelled for sucking. and meanwhile, the Dixie Chicks and Johnny Cash are revered while people consider toby keith the jackass in a hat.

in fact, "trashville" and its pop country idiots who supported bush owe this country an apology.
