Boston Legal went Right wing? 3 cases validating freepers - one after the other?
Last episode they let of the hook a cop shooting an unarmed teenager because racism statistics didn't work? This episode was written as a defense for Larry Craig - Alan Shore said "Denny Crane was Larry Craiged" and they added a bit of Imus "free speech BS...
I am watching this mostly for the actors but the trekkie in me might be overwhelmed by all this freeperish BS!

1. I don't agree
Did you hear what Alan said to Denny: "The Republican Party won't care if you are gay, as long as you continue to persecute gays." Or words to that effect.

7. yeah, they had the little morsels - Coulter, Glenn beck quotes - but still
they made the case that poor Larry Craig was railroaded - and even that there's nothing wrong with having sex in a bathroom - it is - if it's public.
I might not have reacted today - if not for last episode disgusting case of the cop who murdered the kid and gets off because the proof of racism was disputed.
Backlash BS!
Also, the stuff about old people controlling the voting.spending? Excuse me? Wasn't the social security used as a piggy bank by everyone?

14. it wasn't really about Craig, in my view.
it was how fucking ridiculous 'crimes' are decided.
take away your hate for the Craig individual and look at it point blank.

how utterly Stupid to arrest someone tapping their toes in a bathroom. good grief!

4. The only right wing thing in your description is the cop...
getting away with shooting an innocent civilian.

22. I think even that would be properly viewed as a liberal episode
In my opinion, of course.

I think it's been three weeks since that episode aired, but if I recall correctly, the prosecutors were trying to convict the cop of a "thought-crime," and were using some questionable "science" to try to read his mind.

11. I don't think so
It just brought the issues from a different point of view. They nicely differentiated between hate speech based on racism and bigotry, and political speech. Imus was clearly hate speech, not like the defendant in question. The Denny being gay thing was to expose Republican hypocrisy on sex issues, not make a statement about bathroom sex.

13. It was one of the most liberal shows ever. Was more "Colbert" though
...perhaps you did not catch the tongue planted firmly in cheek?

I do catch your point, but the points made in the show were more than the cases or their outcomes.

20. Yes!
That certainly put things into the proper perspective. I can see how a person could watch more "casually" and miss some of the less obvious undercurrents though.
