1. Isn't this posted in the wrong place?

I saw poll 2 in GD, but not poll 1...

3. I contacted the mods to ask if they'd move it to GD.

Itchinjim obviously had to post and run. It's now too late to edit either post. The GD poll has 32 votes as I write this, and this poll has only 8 votes. As it stands, it will be nearly impossible to determine the finalists because polling location has disenfranchised many voters.

...Geesh! Listen to me talking about voter disenfranchisement! I think I've been hanging around kpete too long! :P

6. And, to add to the chaos...

...Poll 1 is now here in GD (as well as here in the Photography Group -- which means, of course, that people could vote for their favorite twice ;-) ), although, with the thread still titled "Mods, please move to General Disscusion," I doubt many people will find it.

And shouldn't there be a third poll as well? I don't see several of the submissions in either of the current two. :shrug:

Sadly, the submissions thread became a disaster area through no fault of the host.

Best thing at this point might be to scrap these threads and restart the contest. However, there are already a ton of votes on Thread 2, and if everything starts from scratch a lot of people may ignore it assuming they already voted.

entries were being taken until Feb. 17. So yours and the other 4 should be there.

11. I did put a disclaimer in there, seeing as it's not a

beautifically artistic pic. Taken on the run, it was only supposed to be funny and interprative, not artistic. But we both thought it was funny.
Just got back from MX and had a great time; married 25 years already! I went away with my best friend; what could be better? (Something other than CNN headline news would have been better, but I digress) But a good time was had by all, thus my 'bridge' riff. I'm sorry if I offended anyone!

12. I bookmarked that thread a little while ago

We recently "lost" Headline News when our cable provider decided to scrap it and put Turner Classic Movies on that channel instead. For the most part, we're happy they did, though we do kinda miss hearing the newest monkey droppings fall out of Glenn Beck's mouth every night. Fortunately, good DUers keep us up-to-date with Beck's idiocy, so we still get to revel in our outrage now and then.

it's a photo contest poll. And there are still 5 entries unaccounted for. The contest should really be scrapped and restarted, IMHO.
