Know Your Republican Front-Runners: Rudolph Giuliani's Adultery With Christyne Lategano (Photo)
Edited on Sun Feb-18-07 10:31 AM by Dems Will Win

RUDOLPH'S MISTRESS: CHRISTYNE LATEGANO

First Wayne Barrett's 5/17/00 column in the Village Voice about Donna Hanover's sealed divorce testimony.

(HANOVER said) for "several years," it was "difficult to participate in Rudy's public life because of his relationship with one staff member." Her mouthpiece then identified the staff member, Cristyne Lategano, and specified the nature of the relationship: "intimate."...

As damning as Donna's porn-on-the-payroll charge was, she leveled a second count in her felony indictment. The lady whose four-member, city-financed, personal staff has refused to supply reporters with copies of her rsum, much less answer legitimate questions, announced that she and Rudy had "reestablished some of our personal intimacy through the fall." Coital positions were promised as part of the next budget release...

Donna's account of the recent calendar, juxtaposed with the news stories about Rudy's summerlong sallies to Southampton, left Rudy looking like any one of the Godfather characters he mimics and invokes: fully entitled to his public goumada on the side. Stir-crazy reporters from the Post and News assigned to weekend duty at City Hall were pressing his office about why there was never anything on his weekend schedule last spring, summer, and early fall. That's when they started using 14-year-old Andrew as the beard, claiming Rudy was back to being papa, taking the kid to the links. Rudy sure knew how to turn a minus into a plus.."

From Jimmy Breslin's 10/19/00 column, "Mayor's Drivers Have No Easy Pass", in Newsday:

"The dispatchers had a bad time of it Tuesday night in police headquarters. They were handling the special radio band for the Mayor's cars and squad and not doing it all that well.

This had one driver nervous. Some time back, he had been driving the girl friend, Judi, to Gracie Mansion and he pulled into the driveway with Judi the Girlfriend just as the car was pulling out with Donna Hanover, the Mayor's wife.

The two cars nearly hit each other.

Somehow the two women did not see each other, or pretended not to.

But thereafter the driver became known as Wrong Way.

They had five units operating. One took the Mayor to Yankee Stadium. Another took his son to the stadium. The other car was supposed to take his girlfriend Judi to the Stadium where they would place her in a seat belonging to some big corporation. There was a fourth car, driven by Wrong Way and holding another girlfriend of the Mayor's. He had picked her up somewhere in the 30s. She is know as the Other Girl (DWW-Probably Christyne Lategano). They had a corporation seat for her, too.

The fifth and last car had the Mayor's wife and was being discussed on the special radio band right now.

If this seems to be a lot of cars and opportunities for confusion, be advised that it is a precise count of the pool of cars and people required to keep these Tobacco Road romances of Giuliani's in motion, all of it on your money, thousands and thousands of dollars for one baseball game...."

It should be noted that during all this, Bernie Kerik, Rudoplh's Police Commissioner, was ALSO having adullterous affairs with 2 women at the same time and he maintained an apartment for canoodling, which was paid for through a bribe with mobsters -- all currently under investigation by the DoJ. Did Rudolph use the apartment too?

Clearly Kerik and Rudolph knew all about each other's corruption and affairs and both must have felt mighty manly about it all, trying to one-up each other, etc. Rudolph knew Kerik was hanging with mobsters, yet he did nothing. It was a conspiracy of silence.

If you're not a big Rudolph Fan, please remember to recommend...

1. Don't underestimate Rudy, however
Edited on Sun Feb-18-07 10:33 AM by NewJeffCT
People are knocking him about things that will upset the fundies - but, will an affair or three turn off that many moderates? Will the media even bring up the corruption in his past if the Democratic candidate has a 3rd cousin twice-removed that has some overdue library books?

And, look at the candidate Republics ran in 2000 and 2004. He was a draft dodger & deserter during wartime, has a past that included alcoholism and cocaine abuse, was a failed businessman, came from an aristocratic and elitist New England family, was a poor public speaker and had little intellectual curiosity. Yet, he ran as a down-home Texas cowboy, a god-fearing Christian and an all around fine guy.

See this article today:

Rudy Has Earned Pass From Right
February 18, 2007

The stock market reached record highs last week, but nothing on the Dow Jones Industrials outstripped soaring shares of Giuliani Preferred. The nation's political market is bullish on Rudy.

A spate of polls showed the former New York mayor the preferred Republican choice nationally and in states as diverse as New Hampshire, Alabama and Oklahoma. The chatterazzi says someone with Rudy Giuliani's moderate social views can't win a Republican nomination in a contest that will include a wide swath of conservative party members. They are wrong.

Giuliani is the rare successful politician who avoids living in a state of constant calibration. He explains his views, he doesn't run from them. This may knock the other candidates onto the back foot. An interview on CNN's "Larry King Live" on Wednesday found Giuliani relaxed and admitting to making personal and policy mistakes. The going will get rougher when reporters and opponents start pawing through his two divorces and three marriages. He ought to avoid reprinting the sultry photo he and his wife posed for in Harper's. Next time, get a room.

Neither King nor Fox's Sean Hannity, to whom Giuliani gave a long interview the week before, are notable stops along the pitiless road to the presidency, but they provided a look at his campaign persona. The King appearance was a big improvement over the themeless pudding of a speech he delivered to New Hampshire Republicans three weeks ago.

5. As I always say...
If you're a Republic, anything that happened before today can be written off by saying, "I'm sorry, it was a youthful indiscretion" - even if you're Henry Hyde and it happened when you were in your 40s or 50s, or Strom Thurmond or whomever.

8. Who are you trying to kid?
Obviously a Democratic candidate with a 3rd cousin twice-removed who had some overdue library books (even twenty or thirty years ago) would -- and should! -- trump the numerous adulterous affairs paid for by taxpayer money of any fearless Republican Leader. USA! USA! USA! :sarcasm:

3. I believe Kerik's love nest was paid through 9/11 funds
It was right above the WTC site and was intended as a retreat for cops working there, IIRC. The fact that Rudy had TWO public affairs while in office is just incredible to me. Remember when Donna Hanover had to sue to keep him from bringng Judy Nathan over to Gracie Mansion while she and the kids were there? Remember how he announced he was getting a divorce on the steps of St. Patricks, BEFORE he told Donna? And then he moved in with his gay friends on the UWS? Don't forget that his first marriage was to his teenage cousin. Yeah, Rudy's got a screw loose. Maybe more than one.

that could be a clue.

Rudy's first wife, Regina Peruggi

Regina Peruggi, President

Native New Yorker Regina Peruggi is a fund raising professional in charge of one of the toughest jobs in the city. She runs Central Park. Stretching over more than 800 acres, the park features ponds, fields, playgrounds, and more than 26,000 trees. Peruggi, the ex-wife of former mayor Rudolph Giuliani, is responsible for every penny of the $20 million it takes to operate this urban oasis. Only $3 million comes from city funding; Peruggi must raise the rest of her budget through donations from the public.

After serving as president of Marymount Manhattan College for more than ten years, the Peruggi has only been with Central Park Conservancy a few months before she's sent to perform one of the lowliest jobs in the system: Peruggi puts on a gardener's uniform and spends a week doing manual labor. The glamorous late-night fund raising galas will temporarily stop for this gal, who'll have to report to work at 6:45 a.m.

6. Know another front-runner: McCain, who dumped his disabled wife for Cindy.
Everyone makes mistakes; but if one of these adulterers is the nominee, I don't EVER wanna hear about Bill Clinton's mistake again ... at least he stayed married!

http://archive.salon.com/mwt/feature/2000/03/06/carol/index.html

"... It seems that McCain, who had once revealed to fellow prisoners of war in Vietnam that he wanted to be president, was restless in 1979. As Navy liaison to the Senate, he didn't have the career momentum he had counted on to propel him into an admiralty and on to the White House. He was 42, mired in stifling ordinariness. (Civilians call it "midlife crisis.")

"But McCain was making bold career moves on the home front, hotly pursuing a 25-year-old blond from a wealthy Arizona family -- while married. Carol, his wife at the time, had once been quite a babe herself apparently, until a near-fatal car accident (while her husband was in Vietnam) left her 4 inches shorter, overweight and on crutches. The couple had three children, whom Carol cared for alone while her husband was in Vietnamese prisons.

"McCain's strategy worked perfectly: After chasing Cindy Hensley around the country for six months, he closed the deal late in the year, had a divorce by February and was married to Hensley shortly thereafter. Bingo! McCain was a candidate for Congress by early 1982, his coffers full, his home in the proper Arizona district purchased. ..."

9. So a NE Liberal "Conservative" can get elected?
I thought appealing to the South, necessary for nomination and national Presidential win, was incongruous with what a Northeast "Liberal" Conservative brings to the party. Rudy is not a real threat. I think the media's NY Hillary vs. America's NY Mayor is the story that is being sold without real merit despite early polls.

15. I have heard several commentators lately explain that most on
the right are unaware of Rudy's 3 marriages. Most are also not aware of his pro-choice, pro-gay rights and pro-gun control stance (all of which I expect to be modified during the next several months). They opine that when the word gets out, it will lead to a loss of support from the social conservatives. Others think that with the emphasis on the war that many voters just won't care about his personal life or opinions as long as they think he will keep them safe.

17. Christyne is back in NYC, apparently.
"happily married" and a mom....

"Love on the race course? It sounds like something out of a romance novel, but it's true. In 1999, then-The Sun News golf writer Nick Nicklaus agreed to run the relay for one celebrity team against another celebrity team, which featured then-New York City Mayor Rudi Guiliani's communications director Christyne Lategano. The two met, and it was Nick's heart that did the racing.

One year later, Nick took Christyne to the old starting line, where they had first met, and proposed. Now, they are happily married with a beautiful baby girl living in the Big Apple."

21. Remember too, Giuliani's first marriage to his wife of 14 years was annulled by the Catholic
church because they were second cousins. This marriage was dissolved in 1982 and miraculously, he married Donna Hanover in 1983. Makes one wonder if they were involved before the first marriage split up.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4IrE6FMpai8

especially if he gets the nomination, which he won't since he's pro-choice, pro-gun control, pro gay rights, an adulterer, and an all-around fuckup.

This election is going to be very unimpressive.
