Who are your local and state challengers for the House and Senate?
Presidential politics is over rated and over hyped. Tell us who is running against your least favorite incumbent.

6. Then RUN you clueless HO.
Kidding, but really, run. With no opposition, and lax support on the other side, I'd be happy to welcome you to DC.

10. Can I afford to buy there?
Sell my home in DC, move to VT, get elected to congress and come on back to DC to room with my GAY bf. Does VT want my representation? I have not been lobbied or paid, so I'm thinking it's possible as an inside outsider.

Cali, you are too passionate. The word looks ponographic because it is. Not all of your posts are hateful, but you really need to check your heart more often before you post.

You provide valuable information, but your delivery often puts you in the CT catagory.

I'll read your posts regardless, and I'm totally onboard with nearly all the "crazy" shit you talk about, but you'll get a far larger crowd wih sanity and science.

13. no, I'm not too passionate for DU. I'm too quick with the snark

and too derisive of what I see as stupid. I confess to being a tad intolerant of stupid re political realities. No one but you has ever put me in the CT category- for obvious reasons. I never talk about "crazy" shit. I'm firmly rooted in reality.

And no, sorry, you couldn't move here and run. Vermonters don't much care about whether you're gay, but being a carpetbagger is a huge no no here. You have to move here and live here for a good 10 years before you stand a chance of winning any state wide office. Ever here of Fred Tuttle and how he destroyed the dreams of a rich carpetbagger from MA?

Oh, and I don't much of quite a few of your posts, either. Just to weigh in, but so what? I know I can only speak for myself, and that's what I do. You seem to feel you can speak for many others.

8. DiFi Isn't Up for Re-Election for another 5 Years
Barbara Boxer is the best we've got, we certainly don't want to run against her!
DiFi isn't up for re-election until 2012 :(
Congresswoman Eshoo seems to be worth re-electing afaik.

11. I hope the Democrat takes down Gordon Smith.
I don't know who will win the primary. I'm not sure I know all the choices on the ballot yet. My primary vote will probably go to Candy Neville, on principle. Out of the current two top contenders, I prefer Novick to Merkley, and I hear rumors about Kitzhaber jumping into the race. May is a long way off, so I'm not predicting who will take Smith down, or making a final primary choice yet.

I believe that we WILL defeat Smith with whichever D wins the primary.

12. I'm ashamed of you guys
No rec's for an acutally important topic?

I'd say you guys suck, but I know better: you don't. However, any of us who don't take control of the vote don't deserve to win.
