George Bush Should Immediately Nationalize All Venevuelan Assets In The US
Unless Hugo Chavez issues a public apology for all of the insulting things he has said about Bush and America. Are we going to turn the page, are we going to forget? No! The only way this is going to be fixed is for the president of Venezuela to offer an apology for having attacked the American head of state. Venezuelans bought some assets here, and it doesn't cost us anything to take those assets back and nationalize them again, and put them in the service of the American people.

For justification for this position, please refer to this thread

14. Fine and dandy
Notwithstanding that * would thence morph into a socialist (dictator in waiting?), the appropriate response would be for Chavez to nationalize VZ's U.S. assets - which, of course, he's not threatened to do.

Methinks that Venezuela has the upper hand, and the theater would be well worth the price of admission.

21. You're not very good at recognizing satire, are you?
I'm merely pointing out the absurdity of Chavez's threat to nationalize another country's assets simply because he felt insulted by the leader of a country.

29. Exactly. We see serious posts like this all the time.
Sadly, you'll have to resort to a :sarcasm: smiley if you really don't mean whatever hateful, outrageous things you say about Col. Chavez -- because someone here has already said it in earnest.

24. That's satire?
Nope.

This is satire:

In response to repeated insults from Hugo Chavez, George Bush should undermine Chavez's government, foment unrest, and sponsor a coup.

Ha ha ha, eh?

It has worked for the US so many times before.

30. Do you think that you would enjoy ten dollar/gallon gas?
For that is what following your plan would result in, and that would hurt the US a hell of a lot more than our seizing their few assets in this country.
