Breaking on CNN: Hostage situation at Hillary Clinton campaign headquarters in New Hampshire!
Edited on Fri Nov-30-07 02:34 PM by originalpckelly
This sounds pretty fucking weird.

Internet link:
http://www.thebostonchannel.com/news/14737866/detail.html

It appears a man walked into the headquarters with a bomb, made the threat. Still breaking.

God, let's hope this is a random nut and that he's not a Republican. We're fucked if he is.

UPDATE 1: Not known how many people are being held. Police have responded, a school and businesses in the vicinity of this situation have been evacuated. Still breaking.

UPDATE 2: A female eyewitness reports seeing a man walk into the office, opening his coat to reveal a bomb strapped to his chest with ductape, per Faux News. It's them so take it with a grain of salt.

UPDATE 3: Number of people being held not precisely known, but some individuals appear to have been released, per police officer on local channel.

UPDATE 4: Irony, man wants a "conversation" with Clinton. Clinton will not be appearing at the DNC fall meeting, as announced by Howard Dean just a few minutes ago.

UPDATE 5: Man is in his 40s with "salt and pepper hair". Statistically it's getting closer to him being a Republican. Eeek!

UPDATE 6: Headquarters of Obama and Edwards close to the Clinton headquarters have been evacuated as well!

4. Yep.
That's what MSNBC is saying, too. They say it is unclear if it is just a bomb threat, or a combination bomb threat with a hostage situation.

We do not need this type of shit in our country.

this sort of crap. And YES I do believe the RW is behind this bald-faced attempt at intimidation.

HRC is not my first choice for nominee, but you'll REALLY get my dander up pulling this with ANY of the Dem candidates, and especially her because she is a fellow woman. I fear for her life if she gets the nomination. The level of viscious hatred against her is truly amazing.

68. It will be an absolute bloodbath ...
if she is the dem nominee, and I mean it ... The Rs have some kind highly engrained hatred of her that seperates them from what little rationale mind they have to begin with ...

Again, two weeks ago, an audience member at a McCain function said, "so, how do we beat the bitch" ... Just flat out said it like that, McCain did not stop her and, as a presidential candidate make a statement that such talk about any candidate is not acceptable ... That was a stunning moment, and that the MSM just mentioned it and did not call out McCain full out to correct it, that McCain as a supposed man of integrity did not instinctively call it out, was VERY indicative of just how acceptable it is to dehumanize Hillary ...

I have $10 saying both are true. I have another $100 saying he will never be charged with domestic terrorism because, as we all know, NOTHING a registered Republicker and devout Christian does meets the definition of "terrorism," no matter how violent or insane.

He was assigned to denontate in a theater, but he didn't because the movie he attended was Gigli and no one else showed up. He then attended a movie that had gotten great reviews. This time the theater was crowded, but he got so engrossed in the movie that he forgot the real reason why he was there!

That's a sick way at looking at something like this, but that's exactly what's going through the head of every politico in the beltway: Now she can play the victim card.

And it's fucking sick that that's how things in this country are thought of, even permeating political followers like us.

81. No, it won't ...
the MSM will wash it, ASSUMING it is a prank ...

Have it happening on a Friday makes it easy for them to not even really put it into a "newscycle" ... It will be near faded from their cycle by Tuesday ... What this will do is even further push the envelop in dehumanizing Hillary ... Two weeks ago, a lady says "so how do we beat the bitch" and it goes unchecked ...

NOW, if this guy has a real bomb, or someone actually gets hurt, that is different ...

Either way, it will get MUCH less play than if one of those lunatic liberals did the same to Ghouliani ... Oh, yes, it would then be spun into how tough he is ...

This ... Just another laugh line during the general when the "hillary is devisive" meme is pushed ...

57. Timing .....
Some of the questions during the republican debate showed their party to be unstable fringe characters. Then they blame the Clinton campaign for the gay military officer asking a good question. I think it is very possible that we'll find the person was motivated by the passions from the debate. Just a guess, of course.

103. Addendum
>...let's hope this is a random nut and that he's not a Republican.

I should have included this in my previous post, but OldTimer's kicked in. However, even though I flunked 8th-grade Algebra, contrastly, I excelled in Deductive Reasoning 101. As such, when I implement DR 101 in this particular situation, thereby, deducing that:

* Independents don't have the inclination to affect this feat
* Democrats certainly would not sabotage the opportunity for dual "first evers" (1. first female president, 2. first instance of a married couple occupying the presidency)

Deductive reasoning leaves me with only one party that, historically, likes to, is capable of, and has no shame in its game in regard to doing the political "boogie woogie" on the political dance floor, i.e., chads.

While I cannot recall the name that we are left with of that party, I believe its initials are (R)epublican (P)arty.

It may in fact be a bad sign. He may not want to kill the kid and he knows he IS going to set off the bomb. So he let the woman and kid go because he doesn't plan to leave there alive and didn't want to take them out too.

The individual is unbalanced. He may be taking his time so he can get exposure, get his message out, then blow himself up, probably fantasizing he will be a martyr of some sort for doing so.
