6. Awful, I remember in 1980 an adjacent apt. bldg. went up
in flames right before lunch, we happened to be there and witnessed the destruction. The people in that building were just in shock, it was so sad. I bet your neighbors feel the same way. Sending :grouphug: for the survivors.

8. I just saw that WRAL. Sorry to hear it.
Glad no lives were lost after seeing that tragedy at the coast a few weeks ago.

Hope the Red Cross helps the displaced people get a warm place to stay tonight.

:(

9. I just went to WRAL's web site and was stunned to see there have been SEVEN
apartment fires in Carroboro since Sunday. My first thought was arson, but they were all a result of either cooking, discarded smoking materials, etc.

I'm so sorry for the residents, and I know it was scary for you, too. Glad everybody is safe, and hope the three who were injured recover quickly and completely.

10. Not fun. I happened to me, and also to my daughter.
We lived at opposite ends of the same apartment building that burned down. Her and her husband and my granddaughter lost all their stuff. My end just got heavy smoke damage. That was 16 years ago, but I'm still pretty paranoid about being sure appliances are turned off, and electrical cords are in good repair, and smoke detectors always have fresh batteries.
