WTF is this new talk of a Kucinich and Paul alliance?
Did a quick google search and found Elizabeth Kucinich surprisingly pondering it as a good idea! She must not have done her homework...

Ron, when asked the same question, did not rule out the possibility either.

Elizabeth Kucinich on Ron Paul here:

http://www.alternet.org/blogs/video/68745/

Ron Paul on Kucinich here:

http://dandelionsalad.wordpress.com/2007/11/20/ron-paul-asked-about-dennis-kucinich-as-a-running-mate-video/

Outside of their mutual disdain and rhetoric against the Iraq war craziness, they are light years apart. Beyond his familiar anti-Iraq war position, Ron Paul is nothing but a another anti-choice, anti-immigrant wacko. I can't fathom any kind of alliance at all.

If I were to hear anything from Dennis himself suggesting the possibility, I'd be both surprised and disappointed; unless I missed something???

Please tell me Dennis is not pondering this match made in hell.

peace~:)

1. It's just an updated version
of the talk of the 2004 John Kerry/John McCain alliance.

3. Yeah, doesn't make much sense based on what I know about both of them...
Unless the thinking is to bridge the gap and unite...but I would think that would just cause deadlock.

If any of the top 3 pre-selected windbags in this party wins, the patriot act isn't going anywhere and we're not leaving Iraq furthermore and sadly if anyone protests the war or our human rights abuses after a democratic party win most here will viciously demonize them and in the end nothing will change.

Edited on Mon Nov-26-07 02:30 PM by RiverStone
Because of answers like Elizabeth gave.

The threads will end when the speculation ends. It would be very simple for Dennis to say unequivocally something like...while I agree with Ron's position on the war, we have no plans to run together on any ticket --- Democratic or Independent.

Simple as that. Case closed.

consider putting money into our social programs. Taken out of context, I realize, but he said it nonetheless.

EDIT: Until or unless we see a similar video of Dennis HIMSELF responding to the question, I think speculation and worry is premature. With all the fuss raised about this, I'm hopeful Dennis will address this soon.

(I honestly hate seeing Kuchinich supporters grappling with a kind of Dark Night of the Soul over something that most likely will come to nothing. Don't worry!)

12. I consider ron paul to be about as vile a politician
as any I can think of. Despite his position on the war, he's a really ugly piece of work. And there's been enough information posted here for all DUers to know exactly why.

16. Ron Paul does not care about this country.
Ron Paul is not even a libertarian, as he is usually identified. He is an anarchist, plain and simple, and would love nothing more than to see the U.S. essentially dissolve into a state of nature.

14. I love DK, but I think his wife made a tactical error.
She didn't do her homework on RP. He is NOT a liberal or progressive in anyway/shape or form. If you vote for him then you believe people like Chuck Hagel are moral and honest men.

28. Not just Hillary's, anyone's.
He's wasting time and money, and his "candidacy", if you can call it that, cost us billions in health and education funding, thanks to his no show for the Labor/HHS appropriations override vote.

27. If DK would actually put a anti-choice, dye hard conservative who
is a hardliner on immigration on his ticket then I would definitely have to re-evaluate my support for him in the primaries. He could choose a anti-war democrat to run with him (like Feingold), why would he even entertain such an idea?
