Think of it this way: If more Americans made things to sell, or to distribute (directly or via marketing companies), we'd be better off.

There are other positive slants.

If people remain in fear and continue to think inside the box, that's too ghastly to contemplate. Especially when the box is moldy. Change is not always a bad thing and we've got the tools to do it.
