When that unhappy day arrives, the Repugs will do what they always do - put forth legislation designed to screw the middle and lower classes while enriching their fat cat corporate buddies. Eventually they will offer up a bill so egregious that the Democratic minority will invoke cloture and proceed to filibuster. At that point the Repug designated whiners will storm the FoxNews airwaves with cries of "obstructionist Democrats", and the rest of the corporate media will report their pissing and moaning with an uncritical voice.
That's when it needs to happen. Fuck the "distinguished gentleman or lady". Piss on the vaunted "Senate decorum". "The world's greatest debating club" can kiss my ass. A Democrat (I'm thinking Jim Webb) needs to approach the podium, grasp the microphone, look across the aisle and ask "ARE YOU CLOWNS FUCKING KIDDING ME!?!? You pathetic shitweasels utilized the filibuster more than any minority party in Congressional history, and now you stand here and have the guts to complain when we invoke cloture? SUCK MY DICK YOU MISERABLE PIECES OF SHIT!!!"
