The Creation Museum
This is real.

Here's just one slide:
http://web.mit.edu/gjordan/www/creation/slides/_DSC2393.html

You can find fun facts like how dinosaurs and horses fit on Noah's Ark (everything was smaller back then, uh huh). You can even see a Raptor accompanying Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden!

15. I haven't read it, but I'd say this sure is an Assault on Reason
It's interesting tho, there are a lot of contradictions built into the displays, as if the designer did it intentionally to make fun of all this.

16. That's great!
$27 million to build that museum... and $20 per ticket to view that crap!

Amazing.

"The Museum is casually trying to establish an equivalence between science and creationism by accrediting them both as legitimate “starting points” for any discussion of biology, geology and cosmology. This would cause any scientist worth his or her salt to have a positively cinematic spit take, because it’s horseshit, but if you don’t know any better (say, if you’ve been fed a line of crap your whole life along the lines of “science is just another religion”) it sounds perfectly reasonable. And so if you buy that, then the next room, filled with large posters that offer on equal footing the creationist and scientific takes on the creation of the universe and evolution, seems perfectly reasonable, too: Heck, we can both have our theories! They’re both okay."

4. Amateurs
Google "Carl Baugh" or "Creation Evidences Museum" and you'll get the real deal, located down in Glen Rose, TX. This man is just plain scary.

It's tragic to see talent and effort go into spreading such nonsense.

8. The year is 2007
would any sensible, sane and intelligent person believe any of the stuff the religious right is trying to feed us.

America is supposed to be the most enlightened nation in the world. It was pretty good, til bush stole office seven years ago. And since then it has steadily gone down hill.

Is this by design. To dumb this country down, so they will accept the crooked, corrupt and greedy bunch who occupy us.

12. I don't think of America as "enlightened", I must admit.
As a group, we seem to have been overly religious all along. When I hear "enlightened" I'm more likely to think of Europe.

It's like some warped MAD magazine parody...but it's all too real. America is becoming a nation of morons and the laughingstock of the world. Maybe George Carlin is right... Just kick back and enjoy the ride.

21. Well, the problem is...
...these people are very vocal, and they like to legislate morality. Seen it action - it isn't fun to watch a judge come down with a ruling based on "feeling," admitting they have no facts to base their ruling on. You can't just ignore these people.

23. Good luck there
I'm talking about JUDGES interpreting law in addition to new laws, and they already interpret the current law in Unconsitutional ways.

AND, if there are enough of these freaks pressing their congresspeople, they can create legislation - good luck stopping it all.

Nobody isn't saying to get rid of any websites...

24. Dinos on the ark?
Lessee now, two T-Rexes would have eaten everything aline in 40 days and 40 nights.

Science has definitive proof in DNA, what has the 'other' side got for proof?
