Sex to Adultery in Official Places to Obstruction of justice -- all to protect a corrupt Presidential candidate who performed official favors to receive tons of only favorable publicity!

Here is the lawsuit:

1. This action arises from a deliberate smear campaign orchestrated by one of the
world’s largest media conglomerates for the sole purpose of destroying one woman’s credibility
and reputation. This smear campaign was necessary to advance News Corp.’s political agenda,
which has long centered on protecting Rudy Giuliani’s presidential ambitions.

2. It is now widely accepted that one of Giuliani’s major political vulnerabilities is his
association with Bernard Kerik, the former NYC Police Commissioner and member of Giuliani
Partners who was recently indicted on federal charges of tax fraud and corruption. Defendants
were well aware that Regan had a personal relationship with Kerik. In fact, a senior executive in
the News Corp. organization told Regan that he believed she had information about Kerik that, if
disclosed, would harm Giuliani’s presidential campaign. This executive advised Regan to lie to,
and to withhold information from, investigators concerning Kerik. Indeed, another News Corp.
executive similarly advised Regan not to produce clearly relevant documents in connection with
the government’s investigation of Kerik. Thus, because of the damaging information that
defendants believed Regan possessed, defendants knew they would be protecting Giuliani if they
could preemptively discredit her.

2. I don't know about getting too excited about this. Rudy wasn't directly

involved--it was Kerik and people around him. Now if RUDY asked her to shut up, that would be a problem. But everyone knows that Kerik was a crooked horny SOB, and that Rudy has friends in high places that want him to be Prez--he's not directly implicated here. Kind of like Hillary and the Norman Hsu thing--the people around you look bad, but no evidence of the candidate's wrongdoing. I think this will blow over, unfortunately, unless Regan is a big enough star to keep it going in the media.

I don't think people here are aware of who this lady is. She headed up Harper-Collins and did a weekly TV show for Murdoch. She was a meal ticket to a lot of big "gets" for the company and sold them lots of books. But she got dumped earlier this year when, it appears, the Kerik situation got a little too hot. And now she's out for payback.

This lady didn't get to the top of the publishing world without knowing how to beat the big boys...and she wouldn't be launching this suit if she didn't have the goods. It'll be interesting to see how quick they pay her off now cause this lady could release a lot of nasty shit...or make it up, if needs be. This is like watching a snake and a mongoose square off.
