GOP staffers sensed Pelosi plot in temporary Fox News blackout
When Fox News programming mysteriously disappeared last week from televisions at the US Capitol, some Republican Congressional aides were quick to suspect foul play, according to a DC newspaper.

"Staffers looking for their daily dose of 'We report, you decide' coverage on Wednesday flipped to the usual channel, only to be surprised to find dead air," report Roll Call's Emily Heil and Anna Palmer. "Conspiracy theories, unsurprisingly, abounded."

Eyeing Democrats as likely culprits, some Republicans on the Hill suggested a far-ranging plot reaching even the highest levels of majority leadership. “I sense Pelosi’s behind this,” one finger-pointing GOP staffer told Roll Call of Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).

Another Republican aide described the horrors of being compelled to watch other networks' news coverage during the work day.

"I was just forced to watch an MSNBC segment on going green by shopping at farmers markets," the withdrawal-afflicted staffer told the paper. "We need Fox back, stat."

BTW, it was a technical glitch caused by Fox going from analog to digital. Oh the horrors - there must've been some serious withdrawal among the wingnuts. Scary that these wingnuts have to have their propaganda channel!

1. Wait! We, as taxpayers, are paying for Fox's propaganda to be aired
in government buildings?

2. MY GOD! They had to watch a report about going green????
How did they survive it! Of course, they could have "gone green" for a few hours and shut the fucking tube off. I still cannot believe these people think Fox is "news!"

4. Republicans should, by all rights, have made themselves
extinct by now if through nothing else but sheer stupidity.

9. wait - so if the GOP is blaming the Democrats for shutting off FOX
does that mean they are admitting the channel is neither fair nor balanced?

11. Probably does but
its funny that they immediately jump to the conclusion that the Dem's were responsible, kind of suggests that they are judging the Dem's by what they themselves would do.

13. not surprising based on how much the ones I know tend to project their faults onto others
you know; the habitual liar and doesn't believe a word anyone else says, or the dittohead who is convinced everyone else is a victim of liberal propaganda.

It seems to be pretty common among the GOP and their supporters and even works its way into the lipservice of their policies: they "spread democracy" aborad yet fight it tooth and nail at home and say anyone who is concerned here needs to get over it.

10. Republic CTers? Too funny!!!!
Is it true that Fox programs them with subliminal signals in it's programming? Going digital is going to be hugh for that; much more effective than analog programming.
