WHOOPS: We made a mistake on the pricing for the fund drive. (The PM we sent out is WRONG)
Edited on Mon Nov-12-07 09:24 AM by Skinner
The DU Admins were so focused on programming this FUN RUN promotion, that we completely spaced out when we priced the different donation levels. For all donations from now on, the prices to purchase "steps" for the fun run are:

* Donate at least $5, and get 5 "steps" to move any candidate(s) forward or backward.
* Donate at least $15, and get 20 "steps" to move any candidate(s) forward or backward.
* Donate at least $25, and get 40 "steps" to move any candidate(s) forward or backward.

If you donated before 9:30 PM tonight at the $25+ level, we will give you 10 extra steps. Just send a private message to Elad's inbox:

I'm really embarrassed about this. Sorry for the screw up.

Skinner
DU ADMIN

(Thanks to dotcosm and fed-up for pointing this out.)

4. I'm sure they considered it and decided against it because he doesn't fit the criteria.
The number of people calling for this is mind-boggling. It's blind faith of Rapture proportions.

12. Not my election?
John Howard takes his orders from Washington. I'm quite interested to know who will be ordering Kevin Rudd around for the next three years.

13. okay but
this is not the real election, see? it's supposed to be fun. it is supposed to raise money. those of us who would like to see al run will put in more money if he gets to play the game, see?
take it easy. don't blow a gasket over a fundraiser. there are lots of real things to fight for. this is a game.

I also want my friend Larry to be included. I'd donate to the fundraiser if I could vote for Larry.

8. Ah, thus is the nature of arbitrage
The window is only open for a short time. Sorry if I ruined it for those who recognized the advantage of multiple $5 donations (although, with the $1/donation surcharge, there's disincentive there).

Either way, this is fun, thanks guys! :D

Just sayin', is all. So people don't get confused.

You have no idea what a three hour time difference can do to a guy like me.

Creaky cerebral gears whirring and sputtering, digits extended trying to add (or subtract?) three hours (or two?), numerous glances at the clock on the wall (available for purchase at http://www.cafepress.com/du_store.21464060) until I feel like my eyes have permanently shifted North by Northeast.

I foresee multiple $5 donations-$5 will get you 10, $15-20 steps and $25-30 steps

for those that want the most bang for their bucks

Donate at least $5, and get 10 "steps" to move any candidate(s) forward or backward.
Donate at least $15, and get 20 "steps" to move any candidate(s) forward or backward.
Donate at least $25, and get 30 "steps" to move any candidate(s) forward or backward.

22. $2.00 @ or 3 for $12.00
I got a giggle out of your fancy math.

It reminded me of my visit to the local pumpkin patch prior to Halloween... I found some lovely dried gourds, took them up to the counter asking for the price and was told, "Two dollars each or three fer twelve, ma'am."

And... the pumpkin salesman was a good representation of one of our finer Indiana Republican voters.

:dunce:

I appreciate, no... love, all that you DU, thanks Skinner!
