I loved going to that house when I was a young teen.. The fantastic parties that were held there:evilgrin:..

The house is across the street from the country club and was THE neighborhood to live in back then..(may still be ..)

21. Salina..Salinas is in CA.. and yes, you CAN spend a lot
in the midwest, but look at that HOUSE !!! It's a dream..except in the summer, that water would attract a lot of skeeters..and the chiggers in that lawn would be no fun either :(

10. Maybe more than that with a Lot Size: 100 x 189
It's the land. That's TWO building lots in the higher priced neighborhoods in the Bay Area,

15. as we get up there in age, we don;t like those steps
That's what I'm guessing..

When my friend lived there, her room was off the roof-level patio thing (we would climb out the window and sneak a ciggie).. We weren't supposed to go out there because it was not really a patio:)

Dragging a vacuum up the stairs is not all that much fun, but then they had a maid that did that stuff

18. That is a classic Foyer ....... with absolutely stunning finish work and detail ......
And: We oldsters shouldnt give in to feelings of weakness: Stairs can help the aging stay fit, and able to climb stairs some more ....

I suppose I do rationalize sitting here on my ass all day posting on internet boards as "valuable cultural work," so I guess I couldn't hold it against you too much. ;)

7. Nice house.
It would be about 800,000 around these parts (suburb of Seattle), give or take, depending on the location.

25. Our little house looked like this..except the entry was reversed

3 br, ONE BATHROOM, and an unfinished basement ..the biggest room in the house was the kitchen..it was about 12x20 and had an additional side breakfast nook..

It had been a farm house that my grandfather moved to "town" in 1920 and remodeled himself..and bricked.. no garage no dishwasher..but there was a fireplace in my bedroom :)and about 8 windows "brrrrrrr"

28. Hey - I house hunt on the internet too!
Missouri prices are even lower than Kansas, at least that's what I've noticed. Arkansas and Oklahoma are very low also. The communities where I want to live (progressive, liberal, blue) are always more expensive.
