1. Weekend mornings are the worst. My husband and I seem to have gotten in MST3K habit with them.

Olbermann, Stewart and Maher, along with the internet and AAR and NPR, seem to be where we get most of our news.

2. You should have seen Kyra fuckhead yersterday

She was talking with an Italian correspondent about an American implicated in a death of a room mate in Italy. Kyra was laughing about her myspace account name. I mean a person was DEAD and she was fucking laughing. The correspondent was appalled and looking at her with shock. I almost puked.

3. CNN will spend about 15 seconds on the latest

atrocity in Iraq or Afghanistan and then launch into extensive coverage of OJ or Britney. I suppose if they could convince the sheep that Anna Nicole's death deserved 24/7 coverage, the kids and wedgies non-story is at least good for a day or two. As for the anchors, the only requirement these days is that they be attractive - like spokesmodels at a car show. They do not need - nor do they have - a functioning brain.
