I mean he only left office with what, a 70% approval rating?

If I were a Republican I would be sweating bullets too.

2. Bill was defending Hill, as you would expect, and he gave several
examples of how strange it appeared Tuesday night when it looked like it was "Let's all beat up on Hill night...including the mods." I don't recall all the examples he used, but he mentioned how so many picked on Gore for "inventing the internet", Cleland for "siding with Osama & Saddam", and several other either nitpickiong or false statements. When it hit the media, they seem to only remember ONE statement, "regarding the Swiftboating of Kerry". T
he last part of Bills comment was "It sure looked like we were entering Cutsy Land again."

5. What's the big deal about using the term "Swiftboating" anyway?
It's become a universal term used to define screwing someone over. I saw several individuals use the term to describe what was happening to the kid Michelle Malkin and her goons went after. It's been used to describe other situations. Why not this one?

6. It defines lies spread through the media
specifically generated by front groups to cover for a campaign, and more specifically to smear veterans.

None of this happened to Hillary. Hillary did, however, swiftboat John Kerry when she perpetuated the lie that Kerry's joke was a slander to the troops.

That's the big deal.

8. Nothing has blown up in my face
Clinton used the term swiftboat in the same sentence as his complaints about attacks on Hillary. Spin it all you want, I know what he said and what he meant when he said it.

4. Here is a little about it
Media outlets claim Bill Clinton attacked Democrats in recent speech

http://mediamatters.org/items/200711080003?f=i_latest

Several media outlets have claimed that, in a November 5 speech to the American Postal Workers Union, former President Bill Clinton attacked Democratic presidential candidates for "swift-boating" his wife, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-NY), following her response to a question from Democratic presidential debate moderator Tim Russert about New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer's (D) proposal to allow illegal immigrants to obtain driver's licenses. In fact, in his speech, Bill Clinton criticized Republican attacks on Democrats and the role the media play in contributing to such attacks.
