Pelosi: Ready for another vote to bring troops home
http://weblogs.chicagotribune.com/news/politics/blog/2007/11/pelosi_ready_for_another_vote.html

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said today that the House will vote as soon as Friday on a $50-billion war-spending bill that requires President Bush start bringing troops home.

The bill offers only a small share of the $196 billion that Bush is seeking for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan through the 2008 budget year and would underwrite about four months of war. snip

The legislation requires the administration to start withdrawing troops immediately, with a target for ending combat deployments in Iraq by December 2008. It allows some to remain for counterterrorism missions, Iraqi-troop training and protection of U.S. interests.

The president already has vetoed a similar plan, and Democrats lack the votes to override him...

1. Nancy, begging is so unattractive.
So is whoring yourself to the likes of George Bush.

Just stop it.

Just say NO!

No more money for war.

No more hiding behind state secrets.

No more signing statements.

No more corruption.

No more lies.

No more bullshit.

It's way past time you started holding this criminal cabal accountable for their actions.

Just do it, Nancy.

2. Speaker Pelosi is doing a fine job under the conditions
I think that is why the Republicans and freepers are acting so panicked lately. They appear so scared what they say doesn't even make sense half the time. I can sense their fear. Its easy to spot if one knows what they are looking for. I also notice a lot of panicky Republicans yell a lot.

4. They need to do this until Bush realizes that he has to work with them.
I will give credit where credit is due. This is not enough, but it is better than nothing. Congress, you need to do much more to remind Bush that ours is a government by the people ---

5. As long as we don't send the fool what he wants when he veto's such a bill again.
We have to tell him to take it or leave it - period.
