National Strikes
out of curiousity, how many of you didn't go to work today?

or for that matter, if you could not afford that, not spend a red cent?

I ask, becuase most folks complain... complain and complain... but when the rubber hits the road, and actions are called... why do it? I mean it will not make any difference...

And that folks is the thinking pattern we have to change in this country.

8. Good., as I said the very least is for people not to spend money
but in reality this will go nowhere... not until people are hypnotized out of their but, but, but... series of excuses

And some are very valid... but every little helps to break the pattern

5. Had to work, but I've made no purchases aside from lunch.
But that's not much different from any day for me.

Can't spend money you don't have.

9. Next action, pack a lunch
do this to the extent that you can... but we need to make this count

And yes, every little bit counts

6. Well thank you
I hope that it went better at other places.

Reality is we need one of these a week...

(at least in the spending part)

But I am not holding my breath.

16.  I don't think most people give a damn
I am not boasting , I used to spend money on things I did not need . I always brought my own lunch to work and drove as little as possible because I was always against the fast food rip off and pollution .

Right after bush stole office I stopped buying anything and got rid of everything I did not need .

Now we just try to get by on the basics and that's it . I am sick of corporatism and the idea of things make life better because they don't .

I drive a 1973 VW and never had the desire to buy a new car .

It's all just junk and crap and means nothing at all folks .

18. I didn't know anything about it, but I didn't spend a red cent
but that's because I'm broke.

The reason national strikes won't work is because most people will hear nothing about it.

Just like demonstrations get no press.

The media has us by the short hairs
