Halliburton Iraq Waste Exposed by Waxman's Hearing Today
http://oversight.house.gov/story.asp?ID=1175

"Auditors: Billions squandered in Iraq": http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070215/ap_on_go_ot/iraq_reconstruction_waste_7

"Of the $10 billion in overpriced contracts or undocumented costs, more than $2.7 billion were charged by Halliburton Co., the oil-field services company once headed by Vice President Dick Cheney."

The MSM at home and abroad really picked this up today: http://news.google.com/news?hl=en&ned=us&q=waxman+halliburton&ie=UTF-8&scoring=d

Best,

- Dave

P.S. Halliburton whistleblowers are feeding much of the information that the committee is bringing to light. A good site to bookmark: http://www.halliburtonwatch.org.

1. I hope we can watch the long-playing version on C-Span this weekend.
Last weekend was RIVETING TV!

Do you think it will catch fire?

5. Highlight of last weekend was Waxman and Kucinich tag-teaming
Edited on Thu Feb-15-07 06:02 PM by PassingFair
the Blackwater lawyer on his company's billing practices.

Also, demanding that the Army's Procurement Agent "get back to them"
regarding the number of contractors we have UNDER CONTRACT.

She had NO IDEA, by the way!

10. If I recall properly, doesn't Waxman have tomes of info that he gave to the GAO and
the GAO's hands were tied because Waxman didn't have subpoena power then?

11. Hurrah for the WHISTLEBLOWERS!!!
:loveya: :grouphug:

I've had hope for various things over the past few years, but deep down, I really believe that the only thing that will save this nation is CITIZENS!

Unfortunately, too many people are fast asleep, and may grumble from time to time, but won't bother lighting their torches.

It's WHISTLEBLOWERS who will, I strongly believe, light the powder keg!

:loveya: :grouphug: for all the WHISTLEBLOWERS!

Blow, baby, blow!

is that OK to say?
