Yum Brands, the 2nd biggest advertiser on A&E's Dog the Bounty Hunter, pulled its advertising
<snip>

And Yum Brands Inc., which has advertised its Taco Bell, KFC and Pizza Hut restaurants on "Dog," said it had pulled its ads, effective immediately. "It's despicable," a Yum spokeswoman said about Chapman's behavior. "We are no longer advertising on the show."

2. If I'm not mistake they only stopped production
Which means they're not currently filming new ones, not that it's off the air. Yet, that is.

3. Yeah, while they "investigate"
Call me cynical (I would) but I'm pretty sure they had a good idea what this guy was like when they started the show. The few times I caught parts of it, he and his gang seemed to be always after some person of color or minority.

6. If you're cynical then so am I
I don't doubt that A&E knew exactly what type of creature they signed. The only thing that mattered to them was if they thought they could sell the show and turn a buck on it. Which they have up until this point.

I don't know if this will be enough to lure more advertisers away, but I'd love to see others follow this lead.

Money, or more accurately a lack of it, is the only thing that will cause A&E to actually pull the racist pig off the air.

9. I suspect their "investigation" just got a big lead...
...because all they were investigating was whether
or not this incident would affect their cash flow.

I have no doubt they've known what a racist he is for
quite some time. I can't imagine that he hasn't ever
"slipped" on camera and required another take or two...
or a hundred.

12. I suspect you're correct
There's a good chance their shining star may have just become too tarnished for them to polish him back up for sale again.

4. Why was that crap show on A&E anyway?
It's not "Art" and it's not "Entertainment", or at least not quality entertainment.

Makes no sense to me, but oh well. Did anyone really believe that slack-jawed hillbilly wasn't a racist before his outburst?

5. Somebody clue me in, I don't have cable TV.
Who or what is "Dog the bounty hunter"?

7. Well ...
Like the show's name implies, he's a bounty hunter. It's a reality show. They follow him as he catches criminals and what not.

The issue here is that he was caught on audio tape going on a racist rant, and using the n-word more than once therein.

11. Oh. Well then, I see my decision to eschew cable TV has been a wise one.
