You know - If Clinton gets elected we get a militarist democrat -
if a republican gets elected we get a very militaristic rebublican -

That is not a choice - more like, you want to electrocuted or go to the gas chamber kind of choice.

This is not acceptable.

Those parties are not in charge of anything - we are - and they better do what WE say. Cause we can kick them out, too. Or worse - like a good tar and feathering.

Joe

4. I don't care - if this does not go the right way now for us -
many things our forefathers died for - will mean nothing.

I am not standing on a field in Bastogne - but you know in a way we are there.

This is about a fight for our country - what we stand for - what we believe.

It may get torn from us - but not without a pretty good fight.

Lets at least go down fighting.

Joe

2. war is a very lucrative racket.
and WE don't care, because nobody even questions our defense budget, even though it's over half of our disgretionary spending and not held to a fraction of the accounting standards of any other public agency.

now, if Hil is getting cozy with Wes Clark, we may have a prayer. He and Kucinich are the only ones I know of who have addressed defense spending directly and without apology.

3. I will man a hose in your honor...
You do speak the truth. There are a handful of lemmings out here who will not like what you have just stated.

What are you thinking cluttering the "facts" as some see it with that nasty bitter and hard to swallow truth? Why aren't you simply "catapulting the propaganda" like a good little democrat!

5. Hillary is totally progressive with two exceptions:
support for free market/corporations, and militant support for Israel. If Iran makes a move that really jepordizes the security of Israel, we're going to war. Otherwise, I don't expect it. She is no GWB.

12. Those are two pretty big exceptions
I guess you could say she's "totally progressive" except for when she's not.

13. Well, she's no socialist.
She's not against Israel. But do these things come bundled in the word "progressive" or even "liberal"?

19. Hillary is a Hawk. She believes in projecting American military might to solve
problems.

Corporations make lots of money off war. And you are right, she puts the corporate interests in front of people's interests.

26. Totally progressive????
See this about how the arms industry is backing Hillary:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=389&topic_id=2176872&mesg_id=2176872

"The U.S. arms industry has all but abandoned its traditional allies in the Republican party and is putting their money on Hillary Clinton."

14. Bush and the current Republican candidates
have set the bar so low that saying she'd be a better president than any of them isn't saying much.

20. That's not saying very much...
Let's see, if I drive my car off of a cliff, I'll die instantly. If I
drive my bicycle off the cliff, I might only be seriously maimed.

Oh great, I choose the bicycle!

We don't need another candidate who will show us their new-and-improved
plan for getting over that cliff.

We need a reasonable, sane candidate who will point out
that diving over a cliff is unnecessary--and frankly, wacky beyond repair.

16. I'm right there with you KoKo...
I am totally committed to getting someone else elected
as our nominee. I would support any candidate, but her.

Anyone who supports (and does not expose the criminality) of
the PNAC agenda--isn't worthy of my time or my vote.

18. Um how come you have a "Clark" in your name...yet you don't dig
...militaristic dems?

Kosovo was a sham and as I believe that most people know now that most of the intentional break-up of the former Yugoslavia was too.

So why should another limo-liberal slash cruise missile lefty bother you?

21. Oh, it can be necessary to prepare for war - sometimes you
even have to fight one. Certainly not in the instant situation. Why do I have Clark in my name? Mostly because I am lazy and I have kept the same name since 2003 -and because I think he is probably the best general officer the country has produced in several generations. I am fine with a Clark presidency - I just think Gore is the right choice right now.

It is naive to think all wars are avoidable - they are not all avoidable - about 1 in 100 times they may not be. Its picking out that one war in a hundred you have to fight, knowing you have to - and avoiding the other 99 times that is important.

Joe

24. But, but , but, as long as a Democrat wins, it's OK, so none of us
should attack Hillary because she's a Democrat and she can win and we really shouldn't even be discussing the possibility that another Democrat could win.
