...since most of the discussion in GD tends to be political anyway, what is the purpose of the GD-Politics forum?

1. GDP is for campaign talk and talk about the candidates

Which gets pretty heated. Flame Retardant suits required.

GD is for everything else.

There are, of course, candidate fora for that purpose as well, and one has to be pretty flame-retardant in GD, too, I've noticed. Maybe I'll go see how bad the atmosphere is in GDP; I never go there, or at least I haven't been there in a couple of years.

And here I thought the Lounge was for everything else...
