Rudy got a break from the "Family"

It turns out Rudy survived New York politics and won a 3-2 vote from the underworld as well.
Despite Giuliani's popularity and good luck, it's hard to
believe that Americans would put him in the White House knowing
he has a shaky personal life as well as what we don't know about
his questionable associates. His own kids apparently are less than
thrilled with his fatherly qualities.
Seems that the moral and ethical issues should keep far-righters at a distance.
Unless Rudy can pull in a lot of moderate and some liberals,
I can't see him making the grade for the big picture.

1. I wonder if this story is true--seriously. I heard it yesterday, and I wonder
how they verified it? It would serve only to help the Rudester.

2. Rudy's good luck

Hi WD,

The real truth of the Mob's voting to silence Rudy is
questionable, especially since some of the "voters"
aren't registered anymore (not sure how many?).
It does add to his "tough-guy" label, which he has always relished.
Hopefully, it may not break too well with the mighty rightys.
I can't imagine that whole scenario would please the morality
crowd which he is going have to depend on for at least minor support.

3. I do think it might have the effect of reinforcing that he has been surrounded
by some sleazy/corrupt characters in his past, and some of them were his friends (Bernie Kerik, and a molester-priest, to name two)--Rudy's dad was a jailed criminal, as well.

4. We all have fathers.
John Kennedy said something to that effect when he found out that Martin Luther King's father didn't like or trust Catholics!
