Well, I' sure am glad the California National Guard is at full strength...
... and ready, trained, manned, and willing to defend the residents of southern California against the devestating wildfires threatening major tracts of the San Diego metro area.

I mean, gawd, if a wussy librul Democrat was President, like those guys Kerry and Gore, he would have worn down our National Guardsmen and our equipment giving food to starving famine survivors and fighting genocidal dictators in Africa, thousands of miles away from their home states!

:eyes:

1. Just imagine how BAD things would be if some LIBERAL hadn't properly equipped them in 7 years.
Edited on Tue Oct-23-07 03:31 AM by dicksteele
Or WORSE: if some nation-building socialist had sent them overseas
on an endless ill-defined mission with no exit plan, or even any sort
of definition of "victory".

Thank GAWD we have a troop-supporting, "America First" Republican Administration
running things right now; we'd surely be in a world of spiraling shit otherwise!

3. Yeah, those isolationists Republicans are doing a great job, aren't they?
Keeping out of those foreign entanglements! Unlike those draft-dodging limosine liberals who love sending other people's kids to die in foreign lands!

These liburals like fighting those foreign wars just so they can expand socialized medicine!

5. For every season, surge, surge, surge...
And that includes fire season. Which, like earthquake season, seems to be pretty much a year-round event.

6. I've heard rumors that the CANG still exists
and that FEMA does to. But California is a blue state, and FEMA and the NG always seem to be busy elsewhere for the blue states.

9. Ahnohld is the C-inC of the CA-NG.
Or what's left of it after the steel shower in Iraq. FEMA is some failed Federal agency. Thank g-d we here in MN only have to deal w/ tornadoes, floods, and bridge-collapses.
Bushco* is doing a bang-up job of protekting MurKa!

12. Ahnohld is the CinC of squat
NGs are Federal. They are "permitted" to work for the state governors when the feds have nothing better for them to do. But in reality, Cheney/bush is the CinC of all the NGs.

Maybe we could pay for Blackwater to help out in CA. You know, someone wants to check out their property? Shoot 'em. None of this pansy-ass "taser" stuff.
