Bush gives Politico.com a free commercial - They have been exposed!
The mere fact that Smirky made sure that the web site was mentioned and briefly discussed means to me that the site is just another BushCo/GOP Psyop platform. That and Roger Simon works there. These guys are about as subtle as a sledgehammer.

7. What do you think if Bush mentions them?
Edited on Wed Feb-14-07 12:08 PM by LaPera
I don't think he would endorse a liberal site? A way to get his bullshit propaganda out there through on the Internet?

3. I will not watch that jasper at present-
It's about as attractive as having a cavity repaired or other such invasion of my body.

Politico.com was an open book when they started appearing on msnbc. After listening to them a couple of times I started hoping their venture would bite it, bigtime. However, if there is political money flowing to them, their future is assured.

11. Here's an article about it...& check out Robert Allbritton's father on Google
Politico Hopes To Rock Washington Media

By Harry Jaffe

The latest venture from Robert Allbritton is a hybrid political publication, both online and in print, with high hopes to revolutionize the way that politics is covered. Can it succeed in a crowded market?

If a reporter at a Capitol Hill press conference whips out a hand-held video camera and starts shooting, Washington could be seeing the journalistic envelope being stretched by Politico, the political newspaper and Internet operation that begins tomorrow.

Two top political reporters, John Harris and Jim VandeHei, jumped from the Washington Post to the new venture. Then young media mogul Robert Allbritton threw big bucks at old hands like Mike Allen and Roger Simon. Editor-in-chief Harris promises “revelatory stories” and “plain-speaking style” and “new platforms.”

Politico has made a deal to share coverage with CBS News. For a start, VandeHei and Allen will join Katie Couric to analyze President Bush’s State of the Union address.

Beneath the hype and video cams, Politico is a formidable undertaking with a good chance for success. But that chance has more to do with business and finance than it does with journalistic prowess.

With all due respect to the talent assembled by Harris and VandeHei, it’s not as if the new medium is going to sprinkle fairy dust on the words and images pumped out by political reporters old or new. Politico’s success depends on its business model and patient money.

10. The Politico wikipedia...
They already have that Bush called on them at a press conference. HA. That was fast..

The Politico is a Washington, D.C.-based political journalism organization that distributes its content via television, the internet, newspaper, and radio. Its coverage includes Congress, Washington lobbying, and the 2008 presidential election.<1>

John F. Harris and Jim VandeHei left The Washington Post to become The Politico's editor in chief and executive editor, respectively. The Politico is financed by Robert Allbritton, chairman and chief executive of Allbritton Communications, which owns television stations in Washington and elsewhere.

Distribution and content
The newspaper has a circulation of approximately 25,000, distributed for free on Capitol Hill and elsewhere in Washington, D.C.<1> The newspaper prints three issues a week while Congress is in session, and sometimes publishes one issue a week when Congress is in recess. <2>

The Politico is a partner with several news outlets who co-report and distribute its video, print, and audio content. Partners include CBS News,<3> Allbritton Communications's ABC stations WJLA and KTUL,<4>, and radio station WTOP.<5>

Politico journalists covering political campaigns plan to carry a video camera with them to every assignment,<4> and journalists are encouraged to promote their work elsewhere.<5> Though The Politico seeks to break the traditional journalism mold, it expects to initially make much of its money from Washington D.C.-focused newspaper advertising.<6>

National Spotlight
Someone from the Politico was called on by President Bush at a press conference on Feb 14, 2007.
